The Southern Group Environmental Health Committee provides professional environmental health services to the 5 members of the Southern Group of councils namely:ArmaghCity and District Council, Craigavon Borough Council, Banbridge District Council, Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council and Newry and Mourne District Council. We are committed to providing our customers and stakeholders with an efficient, effective, economic and professional Environmental Health Service without compromise to the environment in which we operate. To confirm the belief in our ability and to demonstrate this to our local business and domestic community we have decided that our operations should be measured against an international yardstick. It was agreed that ISO 14001:2004 would provide the most effective means by which to control and minimise our impact on the environment. We are confident that by operating in accordance with the requirements of this standard we will demonstrate continual improvement year on year.
